Arena Breakout Infinite guide
Everything a new player needs to know about ABI in one place: how a raid works, what to start with, how to make money and how to win more fights. After 3,000 hours and a 48H Global Clash win, this is what I'd tell someone starting today.
What is Arena Breakout Infinite?
Arena Breakout Infinite (ABI) is a free-to-play tactical extraction shooter for PC by MoreFun Studios. It isn't a battle royale: the goal isn't to be the last one alive, it's to get out of the raid with value. Every raid is a risk and a decision about how much you bring in and how much you take out.
How a raid works
You bring gear into a map: a gun, armor, meds. You loot, fight AI and other players, and you have to reach an extraction point. Make it out and you keep everything you carry. Die and you lose what you brought in, unless it was insured.
That's why kills aren't the point in ABI. What matters is how much value you bring home. A quiet raid with good loot is worth more than three kills and a death.
Of the modes, Normal is the cheaper entry and Lockdown is more expensive and harder. If you're new, stay in Normal until you feel confident.
First steps for beginners
Learn one map
Don't jump between maps. Pick one and play it until you know where the extracts are, where players move and where fights happen. Map knowledge is worth more than any gun.
Start with cheap kits
You're going to die early on, a lot. Dying in a cheap kit is tuition. Dying in an expensive one is bankruptcy. There are budget guns you can actually kill with.

Survival is the goal, not the kill. Before a fight, ask yourself: is this good for me? If not, leave. The best players don't take every fight either.
Expensive armor won't save you
The most common beginner mistake: going in full T6 and thinking it protects you. It doesn't protect you from a bad position. Most deaths come from being seen first, crossing open ground or peeking the same angle twice.
Settings
Good settings won't make you a better player, but bad ones hold you back. What matters: stable FPS, a clear image and sound where you can hear footsteps. Mine: 0.28 sensitivity, FOV 110, 1440p, everything on Basic except view distance, texture and scope, music and UI sounds at zero.

As a new player, don't chase the meta gun. Use something you can afford to lose. The AK-102, SCAR-L or MP5 are enough on a budget. Learn the recoil in the shooting range before you take it into a raid.
Since Season 7 there's no luck involved with T5/T6 armor: a round only penetrates once the armor's durability drops below a certain point. Against fresh high tier armor you really have to strip it first.

In ABI money comes from surviving. The safest route for a new player is PVE: in Season 7 that's No Man's Land, solo, on Valley. Over ten runs I averaged 1.8M per run.

If you take one thing from this: crosshair at head height and pre-aim corners. Quick peek for info, fight from cover and heal up after every fight. In a team, trade each other and keep talking.

The current season is Utopia. Ricochet chance is gone from helmets, T5/T6 penetration is predictable now, and there's a batch of weapon balance changes. If you're doing the 3x3 case, use your skip cards and stack missions.

Is Arena Breakout Infinite free?
Yes, ABI is free-to-play on PC.
How long does it take to learn ABI?
You'll get the basics in a few days. Properly learning one map takes weeks, and in PVP it's years that count. Don't rush: one map, cheap kits, and learn something from every death.
Solo or squad?
Both work. Solo you need to be more careful and take fewer fights. In a squad you're stronger, but only if you talk and trade each other.
How do I use a creator code?
You can't type it in game. Bind it to your ABI account on the official creator code page. Mine is Rockstar.
Where can I find other ABI players?
My Discord has around 800 ABI players, mostly EU, and I stream every day on Twitch and Kick from 08:00 CET.
